wondering about help translation

Hello! Has anyone ever thought about to make to restructure help like this? main index (indexes only) * *-------pointers to readme and faq with lightweight desc to hit the main point. * * *------index_de *------index_en (this does not need translation, only link correction) .... *------index_etc Of course we need to translate all local indexes, but we could share the same pictures, at least from the beginning. ANN: New Release: Geany 0.18.1.1 (Windows only)

Hi, Geany 0.18.1.1 was released. This is a Windows-only release without any code changes. 0.18.1.1 includes the (again) the older and more stable GTK 2.16 release (and GLib 2.20) to fix compatibility issues with Windows 2000 and more stability. Where's the .po after all

The recent activity in the mailing list has raised some questions on my little head. My translation (Portuguese in Launchpad) has been at 99% for quite some time, but that doesn't show up in here: http://i18n.geany.org/. And this page is updated every 24h. So, I can download the .po from Launchpad and sent it to the mailing list, but, the question is, should I do this every time? Probably when the announce of a release is made? And more important, is launchpad updated with new untranslated string, or should I be checking in, in another place? Or it is only updated when the announce of a release is made? Sorry if this are silly questions, but I don't want to miss any action (aka new release) ;) Ty for the attention. André

Hi, this is my first post to the list and I would like it serve as an introduction. My name's Lucas Vieites, I am a web developer (HTML, PHP, Javascript, etc.) and sysadmin (Bash, Perl, Python, Java, XML, etc.) and I've been using Geany for quite some time now. I have been active in the Spanish Gnome translation group, but now my contributions have diminished for some time. I will be looking forward to contributing to the Spanish translation of Geany. Hi all, Geany 0.18.1 has been released. For a comprehensive list of changes in Geany 0.18.1, please see http://www.geany.org/Documentation/ReleaseNotes. This is a bugfix release to correct some bigger and smaller issues. These include build fixes for older systems and increased portability as well as many various fixes including opening network files on Windows. Chinese (Simplified) translation for geany-plugins

Hi, I translated geany-plugins to Simplified Chinese with many questions. 1) Line 365, "Using a bigger hammer!", what does it mean? 2) Line 439, 448, I can't understand " Break after " and" Break when ", could you give me an example(full sentence)? 3) Line 667, "Debugging of core files id not supported", maybe the programmer's mistake? I think it should be "Debugging of core files *is* not supported". If not, I will edit my translation. 4) Line 1703, "_Mail document", the "Mail" is none or verb? 5) Line 568, "%s:%s", is that time or something else? 6) Line 1034, maybe a mistake, "classhave" should be "class have". 7) Line 1588, what is "dummy text" mean? 8) Line 996, there are too many tabs, is it just in order to format well? 9) Line 1915, "_Blame", what does it mean? 10) Line 156, 160, "Header extensions" and "Implementations extensions", they means what? Suggestion to alter description of Transpose action

In the original text of the source code it states: "_Transpose Current Line". #: ../src/interface.c:495 #: ../src/keybindings.c:270 msgid "_Transpose Current Line" msgstr "_Verwissel huidige met bovenstaande regel" I translated this to Dutch into "_Verwissel huidige met bovenstaande regel" which actually tells *what* is swapped with *what*: I think it will better describe the actual behaviour. In the original english text I therefore would suggest "_Transpose Current Line With One Above". Although the possible misinterpretation is only 50%, as the user could think it is swapped with the line below the current one, it makes sense to be as clear as possible. Peter Scholtens
