Hi!
Yesterday (30th of October 2011) new and almost complete Polish
translation was put on i18n.geany.org. It's still not perfect, however,
and every help is welcome. To do in the nearest future:
-> verify all 'fuzzy' translations
-> make all accelerators ('_') coherent with another editor

Hi translators and friends of Geany-(Plugins),
After Geany 0.21 has been released yesterday its time for a new release
of Geany-Plugins.
We got a number of new plugins as well as huge number of new features
on the one hand. On the other hand the plugins are not translated into
many languages and existing translations are missing a lot of
translations. I hope we are able to change this ;)
As always, I'd be very happy if you could send a patch or complete file
with translation to either the geany-i18n mailing list or direct to me
within the next two weeks so we can include it to the next release.
Deadline will be 2011-10-14.
To make it more easy for you I've already uploaded updated versions of
the po files to svn with >r2223. You can access them as always at
http://geany.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/geany-plugins/trunk/geany-plugins
or by checking out the svn tree of Geany by using e.g.
svn co
https://geany.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/geany-plugins/trunk/geany-plugins…
Fans of git can also use the interface provided by http://git.geany.org
by using
git clone http://git.geany.org/git/geany-plugins
Also at http://i18n.geany.org/plugins are statistics and daily updated

As mentioned before, we are trying to have all translations complete by
2011-10-15.
If your language was translated by two or more in past, please double
check directly with them or by pinging me, so we don't need to translate
same things two or three times. Also please feel to ping me for every
question or if you like to start a new translation for an unsupported
language.

I'm attaching the most up to date Portuguese translation.
In the course of this translation I've came across 2 typos in the original
text:
1. "Ask before *replaceing* existing Macros" found in line 644 of po
file. It is present in both geanycfp.c (line 1317) and geanymacro.c (line
658)
2. "re-define that *asuming* that it's not already in use" found in line
3106 of po file. It is present in geanymacro.c (line 686)
Don't know if it was made on purpose, so I'm just informing. The POT file
has greanycfp features both in geanycfp and in geanymacro and
geanynumberedbookmarks...with some translation overlapping over, at least,
the "plugin intro" text.
Hope I'm not too late for the release :)

We're happy to announce Geany just switched from Subversion to Git as
the Version Control System used for source code management. The primary
source repository also moved from SourceForge to GitHub [1].
We think and hope this will make future development easier for everybody
and improve collaboration with the community.
The new Git repository can be found here :
http://github.com/geany/geany. Of course the mirror on geany.org [2] is
still available and now mirrors the official Git repository as well as
does the repo.or.cz mirror [3]. You can follow the updated instructions
on the Git page [4] to clone the new repository or fork it on GitHub [5].

Project Maintainer Changed

You might have noticed it already, Geany's project maintainer has
changed. I resigned as I don't have as many spare time as I want to do
the job as good as it needs to be done. So someone else has a chance to
do the job better and with more love and free time.
Luckily, Colomban volunteered for the job and we were happy to have a
new, cool project maintainer.
Things won't change much, Nick is still actively developing as well and
probably I'll commit the one or other bit from time to time. The most
obvious recent change is, that this release is already made by
Colomban. Thank you!
