Greetings
I have been using Geany for approximately 2 years and I like it very very much.
My environment is Raspberry PI-4 with 8GB. I have multiple plugins installed including the saveaction.
I would like to add to my PI upgrade bash scripts code to the options and to change the /tmp default folder for saving the files to one of my choosing.
I have done a considerable searching, without much success to locate the configuration file. If someone can point me to the location it will be greatly appreciated.
Also, the version of Geany that is installed on the PI is 1.33. Is there a process that I can use to upgrade to version 1.38?
Thanks,
Bob

Hi
There is a 'Preference' dialog in the Plugin Manager for SaveActions, which writes a file to ~/.config/geany/plugins/saveactions/saveactions.conf, which after you have finished using the Preferences UI looks like:
[saveactions]
enable_autosave=true
enable_autosave_losing_focus=false
enable_instantsave=true
enable_backupcopy=false
[autosave]
print_messages=false
save_all=false
interval=300
[instantsave]
default_ft=Sh
target_dir=/home/tony/MEGA/read_me
[backupcopy]
dir_levels=0
time_fmt=%Y-%m-%d-%H-%M-%S
The target_dir is the bit I think you want?
As for the upgrade to 1.38, what OS are you running for your Pi? If the vanilla Raspberry Pi OS, you will need to add another repo to get the later version, but if another flavour of Linux (like Manjaro say), the chances are the version will be included in the default packages. For example, I have two Pi 4, one on Raspberry Pi Os (Geany 1,33) and one on Manjaro (Geany 1.38 out of the box). If Pi OS, I think that add-apt-repository is the command, but that needs adding itself I think, so use apt to search. You could always compile from source if you are that way inclined.
Hope this helps.
Tony
