Hello everyone,
I am using Geany 1.25 both on Windows 7 64-bit Professional and Ubuntu
14.04.3 LTS 64-bit. My aim is to always for the symbols pane according to
the order in which they appear; however, when I quit Geany and open it
again I notice that it is ordered alphabetically. How can I change this
default behaviour there is no setting in the preferences?
Best regards,

Hi all,
We often get contributions for adding custom filetypes to Geany, and we
even have some in the source tree already. We tend to not want to add
them to Geany repo, usually due to limited functionality, or limited
popularity.
I would like to propose that we add a new repository to Github, similar
to geany-themes, where we add any custom filetypes that are useful, but
perhaps aren't up to par or popular enough to add to Geany proper. This
would give a single place to get them all at once (via Git or Github Zip
file download), and also a repo for packagers to use should they want to
provide a package.
Inside the repo we could have the README or some other file cataloging
all the filetypes, along with who contributed them, their status, like
whether tag parsing works, syntax lexing, and such meta info. As a
start, we could add all of the filetypes from the Wiki[0], any useful
ones from pull requests, and even any questionable ones already in Geany
(if there are any). We could also add some shell script or something to
install them into a user's home dir all at once, if that's useful.
What do you think?
Cheers,
Matthew Brush

Hi,
I have three suggestions regarding the geany editor:
1, The find tag usage may not also include the tag in a comment or should with another color to distinguish
2, The find tag usage may only find the whole word but not just the matched string to make the result accurate
3, The highlight word under the course position may be yellow which is better than purple to make striking

Hi there,
I just installed Geany in my mac. Everything works well till now, except I
got a blurry font issue when I type my codes in the editor area.
Is there anybody could help me figure out this issue? Thanks,
D

As a lesson learned from geany-themes project, I suggest we use a single
license for all files. I'm pretty sure there isn't much IP issues with
filetype configurations, but just in case, having a single permissive
license removes all doubt and makes it easier for packagers.

Dear friends,
I using geany since version 1.24 and symbols are not found in file *.cu (no
functions are listed, saying no tags found), is expected to fix it?
Hi, I found that whenever I create and save a blank java files (e.g. click
'New' -> save 'untitled' as 'file_name.java'), the saved files always start
with two blank lines. I am wondering how to make it only start with one
line.

Hi, I am wondering how to emphasis the matching brackets (make them look
more stand out), since under default, it is a bit hard to see the matching
bracket when placing caret near one of the matching brackets.
cheers
The From header is a multiline header that marks the beginning of a TWiki
record.
The From header is very much like and compatible with the mbox file From
header. Among other things, it allows TWiki records to be treated as emails
in various other software (specifically, kmail, nmail, and kate (using my TWiki
highlighter)).
An optional "morF" line, the next From header, or the EOF mark the end of a
TWiki record.
There can be non-TWiki record text matter between a morF line and the start of
the next TWiki record, or before the first TWiki record, or between a morF line
and the end of the file.
The first line of a From header:
* starts with "From" starting at the 1st position of a line, followed by a
space
* the next entity on the line can be either a single word without quotes,
or a phrase within double quotes
* the next entity on the line is a date and time in the format:
Wed Jun 24 23:34:59 2011
The From line can be followed by any number of header lines with a format
like:
<keyword>: <text>
A header line starting with 8 spaces is a continuation of the previous line.
For purposes of TWiki (to make the From header work in kmail, nmail, and kate)
that group of lines must include at least one Date: line and at least one
Subject: line. It may include any number of other <keyword>: <text> lines, or
additional Date: or Subject: lines.
The From header is ended by a blank line.
Here are some examples of From headers (with a sample morF line just to
remember that morF lines exist and must be handled):

Subject: initial notes
