Hi all,
we'd like to inform you that we have successfully registered an
association "Geany e.V." (according to German law).
This way now we have a legal entity for receiving donations.
The board of the association consists of three members:
Silvio Knizek
Frank Lanitz
Enrico Tröger
If you have any questions or other matters regarding the association,
feel free to contact of one us three or all together.
The association is open for any new members. So if you like to join, you
are welcome. There is an annual membership fee of 5 Euro.
Unfortunately, so far the association charter and rules of order are
available only in German.
We still need to translate the documents into English.
The documents are available at:
https://github.com/geany/geany-ev-charter
If anyone wants to help translating the documents into English and/or
has some practical knowledge in translating legal texts, please contact us.
Regards,
Enrico
I just joined this list and have been a happy user of geany on Debian for a
year. Great editor with helpful plugins! One feature I use all the time is
the terminal. I noticed that if the terminal gets hung, then I can't kill
it without closing geany. i.e. ctrl-c does not interrupt the program that I
ran which is hung. If I go to another xterm outside of geany I can kill the
runaway process, but that kills geany too! Is there a way to interrupt
(break) the terminal and still keep geany open?
Hi,
I am using Geany as my text editor. I have started working on snakemake, which, from a syntax point-of-view, is Python with a few modifications. Python functions are defined by:
def bla:
bunch_of_code
snakemake adds the definition of "rules" in a similar way:
rule bla:
bunch_of_code
Geany presents in the side bar all the Python functions, but I also want it to present all the rules. However, I was not able to find how to define the keywords for a function in the file geany/filetypes.python (I want to add the keyword rule).
Does anyone have any idea?
