Hi,
I updated the Portuguese-PT translation https://www.dropbox.com/s/ncmk996474vhc6i/geany-pt_PT.po.zip?dl=0 to the new orthographic agreement. How can I use this file in my PC?
You are welcome to use it in future versions and, preferably, notify me of updates, if nobody else is maintaining the translation.
Thanks for this excellent software.
Regards, Pedro.

Thank you for the update.

You will have to clone Geany sources and update the po file and recompile it.

I can merge it with current version of pt.po. But I'm afraid I don't see any big chance of doing some kind of a update notification at the moment. But you can always check the current status of translation at http://i18n.geany.org and/or http://i18n.geany.org/plugins
Cheers, Frank

I just ran ./waf updatepo onto the file and getting 1271 translated messages, 1 fuzzy translation. which is quiet good. Thank you very much.
I'm going to push it to git and ask others Portuguese speakers to have a review of translation. Also you might can check whether you can set the missing accelerators for keyboard short cuts:
$ LANG=C po/intl_stats.sh -a pt po/pt.po:564: msgstr lacks the keyboard accelerator mark '_' po/pt.po:584: msgstr lacks the keyboard accelerator mark '_' po/pt.po:1745: msgstr lacks the keyboard accelerator mark '_' po/pt.po:1817: msgstr has too many keyboard accelerator marks '_' po/pt.po:2074: msgstr has too many keyboard accelerator marks '_' po/pt.po:4248: msgstr lacks the keyboard accelerator mark '_' msgfmt: found 6 fatal errors
Cheers, Frank
Sorry about the accelerators. Here is another try.
I did take a look at git PR but not knowing exactly what to do, I did ... nothing. I'll try to find a guide and do it next time.
Regards, Pedro.

Thank you very much. Just added to my tree.

To do it on github, you will need to create an account on github.com -- of course you can send a pull request from all other git instances as well, but github is easiest. At github you clone Geany-Plugins or Geany as a project and doing your updates. Commit them to your local working copy and push it to github -- this even can be done directly on github with some kind of a webeditor. Once you are at this point, you can send us a pull request including your changes and a good description what you have done. Well, obviously something like "Update of pt translation". Having this done, we can include your update within one click to the project by keeping your authorship.
