Thank you for clarifying, Enrico!
I was starting to suspect it was not supported, and unfortunately my programming skills does not allow me to write a patch. I like Geany anyway, and maybe one day it will highlight whole tags as well. I found the "brace_match_ltgt" in the settings, it's quite useful as well.
Best wishes, Alf

No luck :-(
I have pretty much the same settings and playing around with them does not turn on any highlighting. I tried to look in the config file as well, but didn't find any obvious choice.
Thanks a bunch anyway for bothering. I'll try uninstalling and install again and if this fixes the problem I'll let you know.
It won't change anything. This is not supported. Not sure what Manish was talking about. But highlighting whole tags is not supported in Geany. However, if someone wants to write a patch, that's welcome as usual.
What Geany supports so far is highlighting usual braces and brackets ('{' '(' '{' '[') and also the less/greather than characters ('<', '>') however to get the latter ones highlighted, you need to set "brace_match_ltgt" to true in the config file. But this is not really what you are looking for.
