Where did you get that name from ? I know it is supposed to remind me of "Genie" and stuff but... is it just Genie fun-spelled or is it Genie in another language or is it something completely different ?
One reason was, that I like to name programs like girls ;-). Another reason was, that I thought of a genie in a bottle (therefore the logo) and a genie in a bottle is something which fulfils your desires and that is what Geany should do.
Ok, Geany != Genie, but I just like the spelling of Geany more than Genie.
