They work, but I cannot see the shortcut combination (e.g. Alt-L for "In Selection").
You're most likely seeing the GTK (the UI toolkit we use) feature of not showing the underlines by default, but only when holding Alt for a short while. We do nothing to control this, and it depends on either the system/user config or the theme (AFAIK).
