[Geany] Geany config File Windows

Hey all- I am using a Windows machine at work for the moment and I couldn't seem to find the geany.conf anywhere. Does it exist in the Windows build? I can't wait until I can switch back to my Linux machine, Windows 7 is making me seriously consider jumping out a third story window. Thanks much. -Brad

[Geany] Overriding styling settings from filetypes.common?

Hi. Is it possible to override styling settings from filetypes.common in particular filetypes configurations? This can be useful for example when making a theme which does not yet contain the full set of filetypes. If the theme for example defines some specific current line in filetypes.common which doesn't match with white background - all non implemented filetypes will look bad. However if it would be possible to define something that fits with white bg in common, and something specific in each implemented particular filetype configuration - everything would look OK. So far it seems that Geany just ignores current_line settings in particular filetypes configurations. Thanks, Hillel.

[Geany] Split Window Plugin

I have Geany 0.19 at home on Linux and it has the Split Windows plugin. But it isn't present with 0.19 on Windows. Is it not available for Windows? Thanks, Bob S.

[Geany] Customization questions

Hello, I'm a new user. I have a few questions about how Geany might be customized: 1) How do I change the list of templates? The ones you see under "File > New (with Template)". 2) Is it possible to remove the Build menu? I imagine that this would require a plugin. 3) Is it possible to make a plugin that runs a custom shell on a tab or a separate window or something like that? Basically want I have in mind is customizing Geany for Perl, Python or Ruby. So I don't want the Build menu, and I want a separate window with a Python, Ruby or Perl shell where the user can try commands. Is this feasible? Is it very difficult? Thanks for the help. [Geany] Code folding doesn't work right.

I'm feeling really frustrated right now. I have code-folding enabled, and I have most of my functions folded, but Geany is constantly un-folding functions all on its own. This is really irritating. I want to fold all but the 1 or 2 functions I'm working on at the moment. I do this so I don't waste a lot of time scrolling or scanning the code. So I fold most functions, but every once in a while, for no apparent reason, Geany decides to unfold everything and I have to start over. I am just about ready to throw my computer out the window. Can anyone tell me a way to make folding work correctly and have folded stuff *stay* folded while I work? Thanks. Daniel. -- Intolerant people should be shot.

[Geany] Multiple windows

Hi all, I'm a refugee from the Nedit text editor and have now moved to Geany after a very brief fling with Gedit. I'm on Linux and have 8 virtual desktops and I often work on different projects on different desktops. If I run gedit from the command line gedit will start a new instance if there isn't already a running instance on the current virtual desktop. I know I can do 'geany -i <file>' to open a new instance, but I was wondering if the behaviour of Gedit could be matched with Geany. [Geany] Keybindings with non-english keyboard layouts

Hi all! In new version 0.19 there's a bug with the keybindings like ctrl+c, ctrl+x in non-english keyboard layout. The keybindigs don't work at all until I switch layout to english.
