[Geany] Bluefish 2 / Inspiration for HTML-Plugin for Geany

Hi all, since there were some discussions on HTML plugins last year, I'd like to let you know of Bluefish 2 which got released 5 days ago. Bluefish is an editor developed as a tool for web developers, so even if it supports other languages it is a non-competing product for Geany. From my personal point of view, there are many many issues on Bluefish I don't like, but some HTML and PHP features are quiet cool, e.g. the charmap on the sidebar, HTML tag completion and the function name completion for PHP. I can imagine there could be a "web developer plugin" for Geany which supports similar features, but unfortunately don't have the time to implement such myself. Maybe someone of you wants to have a look at Bluefish 2 on [1] and/or the video at [2] and get's motivated and inspired to implement a web developer plugin for Geany. Any ideas or issues could be discussed here or on the geany-devel mailing list. [Geany] How do I make Build, Compile and Executive Enable - GLMP?

Hi, I am trying to run GLMP (GLPK/MatProg) model. However, Build, Compile and Executive are disenbled? I have this in GMPL=*.mod;*.dat;*.mps;*.lp;*.glp in filetype_extensions.conf. What are to be done in fileypes.gmlp to make build, compile and executive enable? Thanks in advance. Regards, Noli

[Geany] /configure with vte support

Hi, Sorry to the empty post. It was send accidentally. I would just to know how you configure geany to enable vte support? In linux or Mac OS X. I am compiling in Mac OS X 10.5.6. It compiles but no terminal vte. I compiled and installed vte separately. Now, how do I configure to enable vte support. Any instruction how to do this, including how to create dynamic library vte.dylib in Mac OS X. Macports geany is not working for my installation. Thank you in advance. Regards, Noli

Thanks for the response, Nick. The Lua code runs, but Geany becomes non-responsive while the spawned task is executing. Once the task finishes, control is given back to the IDE. I guess what I'm ultimately trying to do is invoke the command as a background process allowing the user to continue using Geany, and then provide a dialog to alert the user once the task has completed. -Tim

[Geany] vertical green line in Geany code window

Hello, I am new to Geany and looked for most of an hour through the online help and by Googling and can't find an answer: I'm sure that the vertical green line that appears in the Geany code window several inches from the left margin is an aid to many users, but I personally find it distracting and can't find any answers on how to hide it. If someone could tell me what it is even for, and particularly, how to hide it, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks very much! Carl Cosgrove Monroe, WA
