I populated a new SVN directory and run './autogen.sh', 'make' and './waf configure' on this: no problem at all. Also did the './waf configure' again on the previously used working copy, and now the problem is solved. Glitch from my installation, I think.

Maybe some issue while mergin from subversion repository. However, thanks for the feedback.
