Is there an option somewhere to have Geany save the list of open files intermittently instead of just on exit. I don't usually exit Geany, I start it on boot and it runs until the machine crashes or windows decides it needs to reboot. So it would be nice if it saved the tabs regularly so I could have them back after a crash.

You could use projects. Each project saves its tabs on closing the project and restores them on opening.

But unfortunately has the same problem if the machine crashes or Geany is killed with the project open.
There is a discussion on the ML about separating the session file list so it can be saved more regularly. So far no great conclusions.
