Hi all,
we are happy to announce we have a new website address:
www.geany.org
Isn't this cool?
The old address, geany.uvena.de, will remain working but the new one is preferred. Every access to the old address will be redirected to the new one including the full request path. So, there should not be any dead links but if you still notice anything working not as expected, please tell us.
Interesting sub-domains: http://i18n.geany.org -> same as on www.geany.org/i18n/, just shorter
http://plugins.geany.org -> alternative address of geany-plugins.sourceforge.net (not yet active)
In case the above news wasn't exciting enough for you, here is another attempt:
=> this is a read-only GIT repository of Geany and the Geany-plugins project. The main intention of this is to provide an alternative repository to checkout/update the sources for users who like to get the latest and greatest code but don't want to wait for Sourceforge's not always so fast Subversion server :). Another reason is the maybe also faster and maybe nicer web frontend (gitweb vs. ViewVC) to the repository.
Decide yourself, it's your choice.
Regards, Enrico

This is great, IMO a more important reason is (I guess) people can commit to their local copy and easily create patches from different revisions to send to us.
