Is anyone open to idea of switching to AsciiDoc markup and set of tools? It can definitely output plain text, HTML and PDF, with and without Table Of Contents.
I don't really mind, but:
1) is AsciiDoc really more flexible or does it only have "better defaults"? I mean, as said in another mail, I tuned the ReST PDF output, and even though there is some configuration possible, not everything can be configured (e.g. adding a \newpage after the TOC). Switching to something that have similar flaws don't seem sensible to me.
2) Geany uses ReST in general, so sticking to it might have advantages, like users being used to it, etc.
...perhaps others, but I don't think of them now -- and I don't care so much, I guess AsciiDoc is not hard to write.
