coloring of methods

may be I’m off course but what about colouring methods to distinguish them from attributes in calls? against ‘first-class citizens’?

Little Perl script

Hi all, I really have no idea how many people are using the default Geany project management functionality (no, I do not mean the extensions, I mean when you fresh-install Geany and you open few files and save them as a project), but I use only this way the projects in Geany. However, working on multiple machines on the same project could be a bit of a headache, since you need to copy over the project files ('.geany' files) and eventually edit them. Normally I rarely work from home, so I use to work on my office code only in the office, but since we are now in this stupid COVID-19 situation and we are all (well, most of us) forced to work from home, it becomes a need to sort of migrate the projects. Or to be precise, I need to do it, since in the office I work on a Debian desktop box and at home I work on another Debian box. Today I started to manually edit a .geany project file and while it wasn't that big, I actually have some files which indicate sessions with lots of files. Therefore I decided to spend a bit of time to create a script to automate this and save myself lots of time in the future. I know probably nobody might be in the same situation, but in case anyone is, I am sharing my script. I am using only core Perl functionality, so no prerequisites here. Set up Geany too use python3: GOTO > Tools > Configuration Files > Filetype Configuration > Scripting Languages > filetypes.python --> Change: EX_00_CM=python2 "%f" > EX_00_CM=python3 "%f" Restart Geany. This worked for me. It's your decision to make. - waldo <waldo(a)consultant.com>

Merging pot file into a po file using POHelper

Debugger plugin deprecated?

Can't find the debugger plugin in any of the recent geany-plugins .deb distributions (I'm running Ubuntu). Has this plugin been deprecated and use is no longer recommended? If not, is the only way to install now to build from source, or am I missing something obvious here? Thanks in advance for any assistance. - Woody

find in page can loop without asking ?

Is there a setting to disable the Cancel/Search confirmation dialog when a repeat search reaches the end of page ? (or top of page, if searching in reverse) I mean just loop again (and then again) to the found word, without asking anything. Thanks, Cristi

Incorrect icon path

Dear Geany comunity, I'm using geany, but I somehow broke my setup by a installing geany from source. Now I want to use my distro's stock package, and I have this on standard output: (geany:8917): Gtk-WARNING **: 22:49:43.132: Error loading theme icon 'geany-build' for stock: Failed to load /usr/local/share/icons/hicolor/24x24/actions/geany-build.png: Error opening file /usr/local/share/icons/hicolor/24x24/actions/geany-build.png: No such file or directory Somehow, geany searches for the icons in /usr/local, which have been removed. However, $ which geany /usr/bin/geany $ whereis geany geany: /usr/bin/geany /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/geany /usr/include/geany /usr/share/geany /usr/share/man/man1/geany.1.gz So I wonder where it is saved where to find those icons. select instead of dclick

when I get a choice at edit I have to double click to select and I can’t find any customizing to simplify that: usually, when I do a click I know what I’m doing..
