[Geany] Geany does not save state upon session shutdown

I run Geany under openSUSE 11.4 + KDE 4.6. If the desktop session shut down while Geany was running and I open a new session, Geany automatically comes back. So far so good. However, it comes back in the state of the latest explicit quit (not caused by a session shutdown) and not in the latest state. This affects the set of open documents and saved keyboard macros (Ctrl+1). Chris

Hi, developers! A quick thanks to whomever fixed Ctrl-J (paragraph auto-wrap) to properly recognize end-of-comment markers so that tapping Ctrl-J doesn't include the function following the docs in the wrapping process. This is a subtle but very notable improvement over the older behaviour (which required that i first manually insert a newline before the end-of-comment, tap Ctrl-J, then manually remove the newline)! :) -- ----- stephan beal http://wanderinghorse.net/home/stephan/

[Geany] GeanyVC lockup

Hello Just had a case where my GeanyVC plugin locked up the CPU when selecting the 'Commit' menu option. I had to manually commit the changes from the command line: "git commit -a" If this happens again what should I do next time? Is there some debug setting I should use? Or are we looking to move to the new git browser plugin being developed? Does that have add and commit functionality? [Geany] relative paths in project files: is there an option?

Hi, all, i recently got into the unusual (for me) situation that i have the same project checked out twice on the same machine - one for our "production/live" environment and the one where i hack. My geany project file uses (i found out accidentally after i hosed a production web page) absolute paths in the project files. This makes the files essentially worthless in terms of committing them to source control, since they can only be used on machines with the exact same dir structure (and they can't be used twice on the same machine). Is there an option to enable the use of relative paths in the project files? (To be clear: i'm not blaming geany for hosing the web page. i shouldn't be developing directly on that system, but am forced to for company-internal logistical reasons. [Geany] hints for "best practice" for keeping plugins up to date?

Hi, all! So i'm now running geany from svn instead of a package repo, and now i'm curious if there is a pattern/trick/best practice for collecting various plugins and keeping them up to date vis-a-vis my compiled geany. The goal here is to reduce the number of directories in which i have to type (svn up && make &&make install).
