[Geany] Wiki?

Hi, Does Geany have a wiki somewhere which users and developers can edit with tutorials, examples, links, screenshots and so on? I looked around a bit and I couldn't find one. I notice that the main website is a Wiki, but it doesn't seem to be editable by regular users (for good reason). I think it would be a good idea. I'm curious what others think. [Geany] wildcard problem

In the "Set Build Commands" menu the "wildcards" %e, %f, etc are documented for use when Geany calls an external program. But I cannot find a wildcard that evaluates to the line number of the current line. This is essential for setting up forward search in the Latex plugin. Is there such a wildcard in Geany, and if so what is it? Thanks, Sidney

[Geany] Newsletter: Markuplangauge

Hi, You might have recognized that there have been a discussion on which markuplangauge/technique we will use for future Geany newsletter to write and create PDF/HTML/other output formats in. During this discussion a lot of different languages and ways have been suggested so decision is not easy. However, we (well, I) decided to do it on a more democratic way by doing a poll about. But before we are doing this poll we need to collect all possible ideas and put some basic facts together. To do so I did create a wiki page (please don't care about the theme for the moment as this is under discussion inside another thread) at http://wiki.geany.org/newsletter/markuplanguages where I like to ask everybody to enter suggestions based on a minimal feature list I put together you can also find at this page. Based on that list I will create a poll upcoming weekend (around June, 4th) - I will announce tis inside another mail with some basic rules. Cheers, Frank

[Geany] Theme for the Wiki

Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page Geany Wiki: http://wiki.geany.org/ Both look almost the same. Wikipedia is running MediaWiki, the Geany Wiki is running DokuWiki. They behave different, though. What am I missing? Did you guys intend to confuse new users? [Geany] SSL certificate renewed

Hi guys, just in case anyone is interested, I renewed the SSL certificate on uvena.de/geany.org. The old one was about to expire at the end of June. The certificate is used on some Geany related sites like the mailing list sites, the wiki and others. [Geany] Wiki changes

Hey guys, today I put a little love into the new wiki to get it a step further. Changes: - I put some basic guidelines together, just what came to my mind [1] - installed the "nspages" plugin to generate dynamic index pages for namespaces, I used it for testing on the Snippets page [2] - I like this more than the pagelist index based on tags (as it was before and as it is still on the Howto page [3]) - put a "Latest pages" box on the homepage, just for fun :) - installed the Wrap plugin and added its example page to the wiki [4] and added a note about it on the guidelines page - installed a little javascript snippet that enforces on page editing to enter a summary text before saving the page. This way we get a short summary of each edit and ideally these summaries are appropriate and so help tracking changes Any comments so far? [Geany] Question about Line Breaking option's behaviour

I have written a small piece for newsletter volume 3 about Geany's Line Breaking and Line Wrapping options and have a question. From my testing of Line Breaking it seems that with this option enabled, line breaking only occurs if you're adding text to the end of the line, not in the middle. Is this how the option was designed to behave? I'm asking because I want to be sure I'm describing the option accurately. -- Russell Dickenson
