Hi translators and friends of Geany,
As Nick already mentioned on Geany-devel mailing list [1] we are entering home stretch for our next major release of Geany: 0.20 which is planned to be released around 2012-12-20 with a delay of 2 month on 5th anniversary of Geany ;)
After 0.19.1 and 0.19.2 were only fixing a couple of bugs and doing only small improvements during the last month, the new release will introduce a number of improvements, bugfixes and of course also new features. Unfortunately this means for us translators, that there are a number of strings which needs to be translated and/or reviewed before we can ship the new release. Therefor I like to ask all 'old' and maybe new translators to check the translations so we really could put in updated translations files into the new release.
I'd be very happy if you could send a patch or complete file with translation to either the geany-i18n mailing list or direct to me within the next two weeks so we can include it to the next release. Deadline will be 2010-12-18.
To make it more easy for you I've already uploaded updated versions of the po files to svn with r5464. You can access them as always at
http://geany.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/geany/trunk/po/
or by checking out the svn tree of Geany by using e.g.
svn co https://geany.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/geany/trunk geany
Fans of git can also use the interface provided by http://git.geany.org by using
git clone http://git.geany.org/git/geany
Also at http://i18n.geany.org/ are statistics and daily updated files available.
As mentioned before, we are trying to have all translations complete by 2010-12-18.
If your language was translated by two or more in past, please double check directly with them or by pinging me, so we don't need to translate same things two or three times. Also please feel to ping me for every question or if you like to start a new translation for an unsupported language.
Thanks and happy translating ;) Frank

Typo here, I guess ;). Well, perhaps you are just leaving us some time to work. I think I can finish translating it within the next 2 years. Maybe.

Attached is an updated version of gl.po (galician translation), as fetched from above. I hope everything is all right, if not, just let me know. It shoul be no problem, as I just compiled last svn revision to test it out, and nothing was wrong. But one can never be 100% sure :).
Well, greetings. Merry Christmas and such, to everybody in this list.
And, as always, thanks to every Geany developer. Great job, mates!

This is a short reminder to finish your translation and send it to me. By now we already have a great progress as you can see from http://i18n.geany.org but I do know, we can do it better ;)
However, thanks to all of you who did already send in an update and I'm looking forward to receive a couple of further ones :)
Cheers, Frank
Seems there are some untranslatable string in the status bar...like "pos: xxx style: xxx". And here's the updated Simplified Chinese translation file.

Did you compile Geany with the debug flag as it appers this only is at src/build.c:308 and :310 which are triggered by precompiler magic. Do we really want to translate these? Really not sure at the moment ;)

I don't think so - GEANY_DEBUG should not be defined for normal builds. It is always set when building SVN versions though.

No, because they won't be seen for normal release builds.

Cheers all.
1. Newest sl.po, it's completely in sync with latest svn. Tested.
2. I have a broken waf build system (again, f*** waf, classic make is the best!!!). I tried to install 1.6.1 from .tgz, but failed. Problems with waf reappered again (with wscript for the 0.19.1, to be honest). wscript a waf v1.6.x and I don't want to mess up my distribution (fc14). All rpms (from all distros!) are mostly up to waf v1.5.19 or even lower. Finally, I removed waf from system and used plain make.
Any possible patches/rpms that I missed during search on the Internet?

What for issues? You shouldn't need to install anything but Python for the waf-build

You can uae the normal autotools based build. We support both build systems and users have the coice which to use. If you don't like, simply run ./autogen.sh resp. ./configure.
with waf reappered again (with wscript for the 0.19.1, to be honest).
Never ever use a distribution provided Waf version. IMO it's a major failure that distributions provide Waf packages. Waf is designed to be shipped with the *application* and so it is for Geany. The Geany source tarball as well as the SVN version always have a Waf version included (file called "waf" in the top level source directory) which is suitable for and tested with the shipped wscript. If you still have problems with the shipped version, please tell me.
Thank you.
