Hi All,
The confusion shown by Eugenio and others recently has spurred me to finish the attached User Guide to the build system that I started some time ago.
This is version 0.1 for review.
It is too big to go in the manual but I suggest that it can be put on the website and linked from the manual.
Note the attached HTML doesn't include the screenshots yet, but then that helps to keep it small :-)
The source is in asciidoc since thats what I started it in, but it can be converted to rest if it is really necessary.
Happy reading and all comments welcome.
Cheers Lex

Great! What do you think to keep this document in the new (yet to be greatly announced) wiki? I think this would be an appropriate and central place.

I was thinking of this last night.

I'm wondering why this shouldn't be part of the official manual?
I disagree that information about Geany's core features should be at different places.
Best regards.

Hi Thomas,
My only real reason for making it separate is that it is a bit big just to be a part of the manual and it probably could be extended as people bring up things that they don't understand.
Although I think the build system is important I'm not sure it should dominate the manual :-).
