Hello, I just wanted everyone to know that I've updated the 'Version control options' section of the wiki (https://wiki.geany.org/version_control_options). I realize there are no negative bullet-points for anything yet, but I wanted to get the good stuff in there first. Looking forward to geany 0.21/1.0/1.21/9001!

Hi Josh,
Only comment I'd make is that you only listed needing a login on Google, but AFAIK every other system also needs a login of some type, as does the current SVN so its not a discriminator.

True, but its rude to change something without discussing it with the creator first :)
I might have totally misunderstood, although no that *never* happens :)

Personally, I don't think it's rude at all. If someone doesn't like the changes, they can just be rolled back and/or a discussion can take place.

I guess this is where personal and cultural sensitivities and judgement meets the big wide internet.
I agree that some changes, like spelling, are reasonable to change first, mention later. (so long as you don't change my spelling to US English, see what I mean about cultural sensitivities :)
Of course purely additions are less likely to offend than deletions, but general wiki etiquette definitely sees unagreed deletions as rude.
So I wasn't going to remove the entry on Google, and I havn't checked all the others to be adding it to all of them, so discuss first.
