For a reason I can't remember, the config of the bot had kornbluth.freenode.net hardcoded and this server seems to have problems, I found a lot of timeouts happened today and also in the last days.

I changed the hostname now to chat.freenode.net which should work more reliably (IIRC this is a round robin DNS entry for various servers).
