Removing a permission from an individual is a very inflammatory action, better to avoid it. The requirement is being responsible, not necessarily technically brilliant.

Even adults has feelings, I wouldn't be too worried about the person struck off, but someone worried about their competence could be turned off from trying by observing it happen.
