This is really cool, I had a similar idea weeks ago, remembered it a few times but continuously forgot it again :).

I only discovered the GTK/X middle-click scrollbar feature recently, I liked it so much I had to share the discovery. And Windows-only users probably have no idea about the X-derived features of GTK.
