Any one able to tell me why this line fails in plugin and in the interactive console. from gi.repository import Gtk as gtk,GObject as gobject,GLib as glib you can still use import gtk glib and gobject but they are being depricated in favour of the above and the current versions of glade generate xml for the new way not the old.

I have included a simple patch to stop geanypy falling over when it hits a problem with a python plugin it will also print out the exception error to help fix the issues :)

Sorry to be kind of spammy today. Just ran into what looks like a build error? I cloned the git repo, ran autogen.sh, and make is giving me this error: ------------- CC utils.o CC vte.o CXXLD geany ld: unknown option: --export-dynamic ------------- This is on osx Lion. osx build problem

Hello all, I'm crunching through various issues attempting to compile geany on osx. I've been able to resolve a number of them, but glib is getting me all hot and bothered ... for what it's worth, I have xcode installed so maybe I should be using something from the xcode toolkit? Third party plugin publish and third party library bundle problem

ANN: New GIT repository: infrastructure

Hey all, just for your interest: we have a new repository on Github called geany/infrastructure. It is meant to hold some scripts used on geany.org for various tasks. Nothing of wide public interest but maintained in a GIT repository for easier development and deployment. Last week Matthew and me worked on improving the script which announces GIT commits to the IRC channel and noticed once again, we should have the code in a repository and so we did. Commit mails for this repository are sent to the geany-commits mailing list for now as we don't expect any high volume commit rates in this repository (maybe except for the initial filling :D). Introduction

Hello all, I'm interested in beginning to contribute to Geany. I'm a freshman CS major and I often find myself with way too much free time and needing something productive to do. As I've enjoyed using Geany, its something I'd like to get involved in. However, open source (and projects in general written by more than 2 people) is new to me, so I'll probably take it slow for a while. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jacob

draggable tabs - current state?

I'd like to be able to have 2-3 columns of tabs and be able to drag + rearrange, something like Eclipse's draggable tab setup -- one of the few things I like about Eclipse. I assume this is non-trivial ... how horribly difficult would it be? I'm not very C or GTK experienced, but I got into Geany to learn more and it would be a fun contribution to work on and one day maybe finish? Haha. ANN: Geany-Plugins 1.22 released!

Hi all, We are happy to announce the release of Geany Plugins 1.22 which is targeted to work with Geany 1.22. As major changes, two new plugins and one "old" plugin -- GeanyMiniScript, GeniusPaste, MultiTerm -- has been added to geany-plugins whereas default build of GeanyGDB with autotools has been deactivated. As usual, tarballs and their corresponding GPG signatures can be found at <http://plugins.geany.org/downloads.html>. Windows builds are not done by now, but will be uploaded to the download peges soon. A comprehensive list of changes can be found at <http://plugins.geany.org/geany-plugins/geany-plugins-1.22.NEWS>. Here's another idea I had last night. If there is no context menu for any item in the settings, that could be added for each item. If you change anything to where it'd be included in the project configuration and override the global settings, perhaps change the colour of the option's label or create some simple way of making this noticeable. Then, if the user wants to revert to the global settings, he/she could secondary click and select "Restore to Global Settings". This would allow full customization (you don't have to do it on a per-tab basis) and it's not very intrusive into the UI.
