ANN: Geany-Plugins 1.23 released!

Hi, Right after release 1.23 of Geany we are happy to announce also the release of Geany-Plugins 1.23. The most important changes: * Add new plugin Commander * Add new plugin markdown * Add new plugin Scope * Removing plugin geanyGDB * Major rework on Tableconvert * Updated translations: ca, de, es, fr, nl, tr A complete list can be found at https://github.com/geany/geany-plugins/blob/1.23.0/NEWS As usual, tarballs and their corresponding GPG signatures can be found at <http://plugins.geany.org/downloads.html>. Please add an option to customize folding widget size

Hi, on bigger screens (1920x1080) the folding widget size of Geany looks too small and you have to aim for it to click it. I'd ask you to add an option to make it bigger. Btw CodeBlocks by default has a bigger folding widget - just the way I like it. The code in question is in sciwrappers.c I recompiled Geany from git and I posted a screenshot with the function that manages the folding widget size at: http://sdfsfsfsdfasdfas.blogspot.com/2013/03/blog-post.html Please add a GUI option in Geany for people to be able to adjust the default folding widget size of 12 to up to like 18 (I use 16). Another (minor) update to the Snap Open script: the file chooser dialog is now much wider. It's a hack, I'm afraid; it just inserts a long line of tabs into the message text. As far as I can tell, dialog size isn't configurable in Lua scripts? Even in the dialog module, for more complicated dialogs, I couldn't see anything. Thrawn

Unless we have a policy to always use g_strdup(), or there is a real g_/strdup vs. g_/free mismatch somewhere, I'm going to revert them. Personally I prefer offensive programming: if something goes wrong, let it crash and burn, get a proper backtrace and fix it. -- E-gards: Jimmy

AFAIK we still don't have a general resolution on this, do we? I'd suggest we use a default installation of one of the major distributions (Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora) and make the screenshots with their default theme (Xfce or Gnome?). While at it, we could also update the screenshots on the website, which are dated from 2010, Geany 0.19 :). What do you think? Editing the user's manual
