geany_debug for plugins patch

Here's a patch that allows plugins to use *geany_debug*, for your consideration. I'm not real happy about the way things have to be named to conform to the existing conventions (requiring a new struct named * GeanyFuncs*, which might be easily confused with struct *GeanyFunctions* in plugins.c and plugindata.h), so feel free to muck with this if there is a better way. - tony

[Patch] - Modify <Enter> behaviour on Compiler and Messages windows

<Space> and <Enter> keys do the same thing on Compiler and Messages windows. The following patch modifies that of <Enter> key, so it switches focus to editor after scrolling to corresponding line.

Adding an R parser

Hi all, For my sins, I'm obliged to develop code in R, and a while back I added in a tagmanager parser for R symbols. The parser is not mine, but is GPLed and the copyright message is intact so I don't expect that to pose a problem for the project. I've attached a patch against geany-svn which appears to build and function. I'd love to see this become part of the official release. It'd help me promote the use of geany within my company and allow me to go back to letting Fedora do all my upgrades! :-) Jon

adding geany_debug to plugins

I didn't see the use of *geany_debug* in any plugin source that I've looked at. Is there some other convention for reporting debug information for plugins? I've been using *printf*, but would prefer *geany_debug*. As an implementation exercise, I 1. added member *void (*geany_debug)* to struct PluginFuncs, replicating the declaration of *geany_debug* in geany.h 2. added an initializer (reference to *geany_debug*) to *plugin_funcs* in *plugins.c* 3. added a *#define geany_debug* in *geanyfunctions.h*. 4. used *geany_debug()* in the plugin (Tools->Template Files) I'm developing. What's the right way? All of the ...Funcs structs seem to use name prefix conventions, but *geany_debug* doesn't fit any pattern. Should there be another ...Funcs struct for this? Or maybe a similar but separate debug function should exist for plugins? - tony

Introduction - Can Koy

Hi, My name is Can Koy, and I live in Ankara, Turkey. (for those confused, my name's pronounced like 'John'). My interest in Geany is purely selfish. I just wanted to have a good, robust, fast, intuitive, versatile editor, without 1970's visuals(!), on Linux. So far, Geany is the closest to match those and fulfill my needs (shell script, config files, php, html, css, etc). I did a lot of C programming in the past on Win32, Un*x, MS-DOS. Now I intend to apply those skills to fix/enhance Geany and, hopefully, eliminate some frustrations I have while using it. Thanks, bye.
