Yeah, I don't usually do that either. I almost always have an instance
of Geany running on my 2nd monitor and if not, I'm usually not surprised
by the behaviour since I do use projects mostly unless I'm just quickly
editing a file or two.

I have no opposition to this, though I wouldn't even know which way to
vote. Why not setup one of those online polls and send a message to the
mailing list(s) and see what happens?
