I want to remove the status, complier, messages, scribble, and terminal tabs of Geany message window. Basically, I prefer that when I open the message window Geany automatically opens the terminal window without showing the tabs. How could I get this setup?

Please include the Scintilla-Lexers for the Nim-language into Geany. As of now one uses the Python-Lexer and -Parser. There are two Lexers for Nim called "LexNim" and "LexNimrod". Both seem to be about 2-yrs old. "LexNimrod" was provided by the creator of Nim. I'd ask which of the two Lexers are more up-to-date.
thx Andreas

This commit adds TOML configuration language support to Geany. It uses the recently merged Scintilla TOML lexer; for ctags parsing it uses the conf file parser which works reasonably well for TOML as well.

In addition to JSON, the other lexer we don't use yet is for the Nim language (these are the only ones I'm aware of). I'm not a Nim language user myself but I tried to modify the external filetype config file to the internal one so most of the stuff is preserved and should work correctly.

Hi.
I've been using Geany for a couple decades. I also use the virtual terminal (VTE) a lot with my projects. So do I use addons' "_automatically enclose text without requiring shortcuts_" option a lot, too.
The trouble is the said addon module takes over even when the VTE is active and, for instance, when I type single or double quotes or even parentheses in the VTE, they are intercepted by the addon to enclose any selected text in the window that is currently visible. If any selection exists in the window, the character is swallowed and the selection is enclosed with that character. Consequently it is not echoed in the VTE.
This situation happens frequently, especially when I need to select something in a window and middle-click inside the VTE to paste it. I tried to pick the habit to also left-click once in the VTE to cancel the selection but it doesn't work (read: I forget most of the time). I tried coping with the bug but it doesn't work either; instead it has become extremely annoying. I've tried multiple times to inspect the source code and fix it myself in order to submit a patch and avoid bothering the developers but I have to confess I'm completely lost and have no idea what to do and how.
Is it possible to disable the enclosing features (both options, with and without shortcuts) at least when the VTE is active? See the picture below as to the options I'm referring to, with the one I use highlighted by me, which is the most critical:

I have Geany version 2.0-1 on Manjaro Linux x86_64, built on 23rd Oct. 2023.

- using Geany 2.0 on windows.
- File path: D:\Media\Ария\Sources.txt
- when opened from explorer, it opens an empty file.
- when opened from the toolbar, the file is opened normally but if I try to use the toolbar again it show this error:
![image](https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/944f83b7-2bba-466e-945f-340ee6f59490)
pressing ok would simply open the directory above the one with Cyrillic name.
- status window when opened from explorer: `11:16:46: New file "D:\Media\????\Sources.txt" opened.`

This patch adds basic Prolog support (only scintilla laxer, there's no
ctags parser). I used swi-prolog for the compiler and run commands which
I believe is the most commonly used prolog implementation. I used the
keywords from here:
https://github.com/mxw/vim-prolog/blob/master/syntax/prolog.vim
I only used Prolog at school many years ago but it's an interesting language and I believe Geany should support it (which is why #3086 resonated in my head).
Fixes #3086
