Following up https://github.com/geany/geany/pull/3593#issuecomment-1757592993, should we do something about it on our end? Basically the solution is to use `edit-clear-symbolic` icon-name instead of `GTK_STOCK_CLEAR`, which is for most of it easy, for some a bit more involved.
* is it our problem?
* well, no, but many distro ship Adwaita by default, so we suffer from it
* is it specific to Debian Bookworm?
* can we do something about it? is it easy?
* we can, using icon names and `edit-clear-symbolic` for example.
* most of the time, it's easy. Some of out API make other cases less easy.
@elextr @eht16 @techee opinions?

This is running under Sway, testing with Wayland native apps only (no xwayland).
When I first open a file in Geany, I can copy out of Geany and paste into another program by selecting and then middle clicking in the usual way. I can do that multiple times with different selections. If I then select something ("foo" for example) in the other program, I can middle click paste it into Geany. I can do this with multiple selections as well. All OK so far.
At this point if I select something in Geany ("bar" for example), I can no longer middle click paste it outside of Geany. I just get "foo" instead, even if I make sure to unselect "foo" in the other app before selecting "bar" in Geany. Middle click copy/paste within Geany works fine still. It also works fine within and between non-Geany applications. It is as if Geany is now using a different primary buffer than everything else.
Opening a new file in Geany (or closing and reopening an existing one) gets things working again temporarily.
I've tested this with Geany 1.36 and also the latest Master branch. I also tried applying the patch from here, but saw no difference: https://sourceforge.net/p/scintilla/bugs/2127/
I have mainly been using kitty (0.18.3) and firefox (78.3.0 esr) as the other applications. Sway is version 1.5-3. This is on Debian Bullseye. I also briefly tried to check if SciTe exhibits the same behavior, but middle click copy paste did not work at all there (at least to other programs, not sure if it worked within SciTe).

A couple of weeks ago I started noticing that the Select and middle-button-paste only pastes once. As I use Geany frequently I'm fairly certain this wasn't an issue previously. In other programs, this method still works normally.
Obviously, ctrl-C and Ctrl-V work fine.
Geany is 1.39
Gtk v3.24.29
GLib v2.70.4

I'm using geany 2.0-1 on Arch Linux with XFCE.
Since the newest update, I can not use paste via middle-click repeatedly anymore. This was a frequent use case for me: select some text and then paste it at a few places. It does not matter if the selection was made inside or outside geany.
What makes me think geany clears the X selection:
* I can select and paste into a different window multiple times, but after pasting into geany, I can't anymore.
* Also, the clipboard manager plugin for the XFCE panel shows no mouse selection anymore afterwards.

Hello!
I'm a Twitch streamer and quite often on my streams I need to zoom in the text to a really large size for a better dramatic effect. But unfortunately Scintilla imposes a very strict limitation on zoom factor (from -10 to 20): https://www.scintilla.org/ScintillaDoc.html#SCI_ZOOMIN
And I don't really know why! If I remove the `SCI_ZOOMIN` limitation condition completely in [Scintilla itself](https://github.com/geany/geany/blob/77630564ad5446df89e9973f74bd378… it works just fine and does not degrade the performance or/and the stability of Geany.

Would it be a good idea to remove the `SCI_ZOOMIN` limit completely (or at least dramatically increase it) and put that change into the `scintilla_changes.patch`? If yes, I could make a PR for that myself.

This is a work-in-progress PR to add the LSP plugin. There are still some things missing like the documentation but in general the plugin should work. There are 3 modes of operation:
1. Without Geany LSP support
2. With basic LSP support using https://github.com/geany/geany/pull/3849
3. With full LSP support using https://github.com/geany/geany/pull/3850
The plugin should detect with which of these modes Geany was compiled and adjust itself automatically.
For the time being I still plan continue the main development of the plugin under https://github.com/techee/geany-lsp and sync the changes here from time to time.

IncDec is a plugin for Geany that provides shortcuts to increment an decrement
number at the cursor, or to the right of the cursor (on the same line).
By default, typing **Shift-+** will increment the next number, and typing **Shift--** will decrement the next number.
You can also increment and decrement number many times by typing **Shift-***. The number can be at the cursor, or to the right of the cursor (on the same line). Numbers can be negative and positive, and can be in decimal or hexadecimal format (hexadecimal number start with **0x**).
You can customize those defaults keys on the preferences, under the Keybindings tab by setting the _IncDec_ keybinding.
An item _Increment or Decrement number_ is also added in the Editor Popup Menu, it can be hidden by changing the Plugins Preferences.

Is there any way to change how Geany highlights a misspelled word? At least make those red squiggly underlines a lot bolder? Or, better still, switch background color? Those lines are barely visible on my system.

See for instance what VLC does. (Or Audacity for that matter.)
Geany’s feature set is large enough (let alone accounting for
plugins) that it may warrant such an enhancement.
