Agreed, I think there should be a package called "geany-themes" 
available in the various repos along side of "geany" and "geany-plugins" 
or whatever.  This is why I started the thread asking for help :)

With such packages and fixing up the Extras page, I think this is enough 
to make it less crazy to figure out how to install the color schemes.

If no one can help me, I might be able to make an "unofficial" .deb and 
.rpm packages if I can figure it out, but it won't be in any repos.
