[Geany] Grep-interface won't cache the last path to search in

Thats correct, it opens with the directory of the current file, either
in the edit window or selected in the sidebar, or home.  Do you mean
that the combo box doesn't remember past uses?  That isn't Geany, that
is GTK and AFAIK Geany doesn't have any control over that.
