But it fails when doing make install. I thought we are talking about
only "make" but when reading your posted output a bit more carefully
one can easily see you ran "make install".
I'm sorry.

A quick google search pointed me to [1] but there is only a workaround
mentioned, nothing about a reason or real solution. I will have a
closer look tomorrow. I guess I broke it with my intltool commit some
days ago.
