[Github-comments] [geany/geany] Cannot save file on a mapped drive (SFTP) (#2529)

As far as I know it does support renaming. As it supports all of the SFTP
commands (and most importantly MV) and I'm able to rename files using the
command line and the file explorer.

Thank you for the link you sent, it puzzles me to no end.. I never
heard about such a complicated saving mechanism in a desktop application
before. Is it that common?
