I wanted to ask if there is an easy way of migrating to geany the (custom) syntax highlighting rules from either Atom, VSCode or Sublime.

If you mean the files that define the syntactic entities then no, in Geany syntactic entities are recognised by lexers from the Scintilla/Lexilla project which are [written in C++](https://github.com/ScintillaOrg/lexilla/tree/master/lexers), so no.
