It seems to happen when I switch to another workspace then return to the one with Geany in it. I can still type but the cursor is invisible.
I can make it visible by opening the "Find" window. If anyone knows of other ways to make it visible please comment.
Running on: XFCE Xubuntu 24.04
What Geany version do you use? (I don't seem to be able to reproduce it on Debian 12 and Xfce with current version from git)
it's version "2.0-1build2 amd64" installed via apt.
The problem occurs inconsistently (sorry -- I'll add a note about that in the original post) and I don't know what determines if it's going to happen.
I'm on a laptop. I use "CTRL+ALT+left" and "CTRL+ALT+right" to switch workspaces. I have Geany geany-plugin-addons installed and the only enabled plugins are "Addons" and "Lua Script".
I also cannot reproduce this on Debian Testing with Xfce 4.20 and Geany from GIT master. Neither with workspace switching using Ctrl-F1, -F2, ... nor with Ctrl-Alt-Cursor keys.
I'm using this setup day by day since years and never experienced a missing cursor. This is strange :(.
@lee321987 Are you by any chance using Xfce 4.20 (with Wayland) and run Geany under XWayland? In that case https://github.com/geany/geany/issues/3736 could be related. Apart from that, no ideas I'm afraid.
One thing to add: I suspend to RAM a lot (using command "systemctl suspend") -- i think the problem may be related to suspending.
