The "Follow path of the current file" feature is useful, but floods the global bash history with "cd ..." entries. bash and most bash-like terminals will not add a command to the history if an additional whitespace is prepended.
I suggest adding a whitespace in front of "cd ..." (-> " cd ..."), or offering a checkbox to do so, as to reduce the history noise.

In Java/Ubuntu 14/Geany (built on or after 2015-07-13) the literal number one million comes out differently depending on whether it contains the allowed separator _ or not. Possibly this should be regarded as an inconsistency as the literal still has the same value where-as the change in color might lead one to believe that the value of the literal was different in each

libgit2 changed its API and added a new argument to git_diff_buffers().
The new argument is a callback for binary files. This should not be relevant here because Geany probably won't be able to handle binary files in the near future.
I tested compilation with this patch against libgit2 0.22 *and* 0.23.
However, I could not test the plugin against 0.23 because of weird unresolved symbols in libgit2. I assume this is a temporary problem with my distro (ArchLinux).
@b4n not sure if you like the style, I broke the function arguments into one per line to make them more readable. Feel free to drop this PR and do it in another way.

I am accessing a file in another computer through samba in a mounted folder, when i save the file, sometimes, it shows the message "the file .... on the disk os more recent than the current buffer", and i am the only one acessing it and writing to it.
I setted the timeout to 5 seconds, because 30 is too much for checking modifications if another user is editing, but now there is this annoying message, show up, even when there are no modifications. It's something about 50% chance showing it.
I know i can disable it, sometimes i do, when i am sure the only one editing it, but in some cases i have to turn it on, to avoid overwriting others changes.

The current shorcut key for "Use multi-line matching" conflicts with
"In Selection" when "Use regular expressions" is enabled. It should be
convenient if we change it.
We choose 'g' since other letters are already in use:
u: "Use regular expressions"
s: "Search for"
e: "Use escape sequences"
m: "Mark"
l: "In Selection"
t: "Match from start of word"
i: "In Document"
n: "Replace & Find"
a: "Case sensitive"
c: "Close"
h: "Replace with"
