@scootergrisen it depends which distribution you use. There should be a bug tracker for packages in each distro where you can submit patches (ex. Launchpad for Ubuntu I think).

Alternatively you could work to get #1142 merged, and have it adopted in distro packages (they probably would like to use it). One thing I'm just noticing that's a little worrying from @b4n's comment in #1142 is:

> Meh, indeed apparently it's not possible to translate a built file. Bummer.

So it might not even be possible at all ☹️
