AFAIK the statusbar font is set by your system GTK theme, so something
there is setting fonts for GTKstatusbar widgets ridiculously small.
Since you provide no information about what version of Geany it is and
if its GTK2 or GTK3 can't help further, but the Geany manual provides
some pointers.
