Alt activating a menu is a function of your window manager or the GTK
toolkit, it isn't something defined in Geany.

The use of alt to show menus or mnemonics is pretty standard, I don't
know if the wm or toolkit allow it to be changed.

Combinations of alt and another key work (at least on my system,
windows and KDE milage may vary :)
