[Geany] Geany on OS X, extension "RANDR" and symlink error?

When I built Geany on OS X last year, I was using the then-beta version 
of http://www.gtk-osx.org/ which provides native GTK+. (No need for X11, 
etc.) So then again, I don't have any experience building Geany for OSX/X11.

This might be something to consider trying.
