I sometimes use the GeanyLua 'Select block' function, then
replace in selection. It looks backward for any bracket, then looks
forward for a match, selecting in between.

Geany doesn't really know what the scope is for each filetype properly,
but putting the cursor into the outermost bracket and selecting is good
enough IMO.
