[Geany] geany on ubuntu 9.04

Thanks a lot guys. build-essentials helped, but even though I
installed libgtk-dev, it still complains about not having package
gtk+-2.0. I tired libgtkmm-dev, but it didn't help either. Any idea
what else I need to install?

I haven't had too much contact with Ubuntu in the last two years (but
I got so angry with Gentoo, that I want to try something new), so I am
bit confused now.
