One thing I'd like is if there were a pref setting to make cycling
through the open buffers either go alphabetically (as shown in the
"Open files" tab of the Sidebar) or in the order of the editor tabs
(as it currently does).

There probably should even be an automated switch that works like so:

A. When I've got editor tabs hidden but the Sidebar visible, buffers
cycle alphabetically,

B. When I've got editor tabs visible but the Sidebar hidden, buffers
cycle by tab order,

C. When both or neither are visible, the order goes by whatever you
set it to in the preferences.

Having that would actually work very nicely if Enrico goes ahead with
changing the "View --> Toggle all additional widgets" to hide the
editor tabs but keep the Sidebar visible.

Currently, if I have

* a bunch of files open,
* the Sidebar visible showing the open files, and
* editor tabs hidden

and I hit Ctrl-PgDn repeatedly, it switches through buffers in a
seemingly random order. :)
