Although it's in the docs, it doesn't work. The appendix is taken from  
the SciTE documentation, and FWIW the select paragraph doesn't work in  
SciTE on GTK either ;-) I expect the problem is the difference between  
the way Windows and GTK+ handle the shift modifier.
