[Geany] Autocomple.conf question

Hello,

I've been using Geany with much pleasure, have a quick question about
abbreviation expansions in autocomplete.conf.

In php and html files, they work perfectly inside php containers on an
empty line, but in any other context (i.e. outside a <?php ... ?> block
or on a line inside the block that already contains anything except a
tab)they don't work at all.

Is there any work-around for this? It would be enormously handy to be
able to use them anywhere is the document.
