[Geany] Cannot compile r1309

Could you send us config.log (or the part of it that failed)?
I've seen this error before when overriding CFLAGs on the ./configure  
line, but it seems you were using default CFLAGS. If you have a  
Makefile you could try doing a 'make maintainer-clean' and running  
autogen.sh again though.

I've had no problems here.
[nmt at nmt-pc src]$ gcc --version
gcc (GCC) 4.1.1 20070105 (Red Hat 4.1.1-51)
