<p>This is <em>the</em> major reason why I personally don't use geany <g-emoji class="g-emoji" alias="cry" fallback-src="https://github.githubassets.com/images/icons/emoji/unicode/1f622.png">😢</g-emoji> I love the new fancy "open folder" concept where the folder just magically is shown as a complete file tree, but Geany only allows me to open single files or a project file by default. It just feels clumsy and inflexible, in particular the concept of project files just feels so outdated... All the newer IDEs like VS Code get it right, but they also all use Electron and run really poorly. It's quite a shame and it'd be so cool if geany could do this better out of the box!</p>
