<h2>Reproduction method:</h2>
<p>Enable the "Markdown" plug-in in the "Geany" app.</p>
<p>$ geany test.md<br>
Enter "@<a class="user-mention" data-hovercard-type="organization" data-hovercard-url="/orgs/markdown/hovercard" href="https://github.com/markdown">@markdown</a>@@".</p>
<p>-> As soon as the last “@” was entered, the “Geany” app froze.</p>
