<p>That was it...thank you!  On the <code>freedesktop.org</code> tree view, I right-clicked on the HTML link to the <code>aff</code> and <code>dic</code> files thinking they would just download in whatever native (text) format.  I had to first open the <code>aff</code> and <code>dic</code> files in a browser page, view thema as plain text and then save them.  Now it works.  Thank you for your help!</p>
